These bosses are so much harder compared to the rest of the gameplay. It's almost a different game lol!

I'm a Metroid fan, which is why this review caught my eye. I haven't heard of Exophobia before now. Does the game run well on Switch? Any crashes or other jank? Do the bosses function like puzzles where you have to utilize your upgrades in a strategy to beat them? I don't mind backtracking and searching for solutions, so that aspect of the game sounds fine to me, although does it get confusing because everything is always the same color palette?

Now, the news. i'm listening the people, mt force v1.1 its released * changes on a better control for the character in the air *new difficulty settings (normal and hard) Normal changes : it has better balance, less hp for enemies, some parts like the zombies on stage 3 are nerfed,bosses reduced hp, reduced hitbox on stage2 for the bike, and more... weapons damage is boosted i was so sad hearing some stuff on your video, i want to polish the game the most possible. I'm gonna start working on version 1.2 really soon :) best regards from San Luis, Argentina.

No idea why they had to hide the screenshots showing its a qix clone. A lotta games do this with pics of women and one even animates.

omg this game looks amazing!! I can't wait to try this.. kinda reminds me of the mashup I first played when borderlands came out.. diablo with guns.. now we hv diablo as a rougelike.. def an interesting concept..especially in 2d..ps I also absolutely hate when games don't include a scan down option to see what's below u.. I'm sure the scaling and issues like camera views will be adjusted by launch.. I'm def keeping an eye out for this one 👌 great vid man!!

the robotron space invaders berzerk game mode alone is something made this game both worth play and buy they people behind this game truely know and loved arcade games

You didn't mention anything about the music is it because they're really isn't any just generic music playing in the background? You would think they would be very good music since they had voice acting.. Without music a game is stale.

I love platformers and a good story. This seems like it will fill that itch, so I will definitely pick this up. Thanks for the review!

Yeah that's great and all, but they made one fatal mistake: who the hell wants to play as a girl? Miss me with this one. EDIT: Also clearly made by one of those incel simps who insists that every NPC has to either be a girl or a furry. Cringe.

This game looks bad by Wolfenstein standards. I love retro stuff, I love old school gameplay but take a game like Ion Fury, it still looks retro but its gorgeous. Or the recent Warhammer Boomer Shooter game that came out. This game looks ugly af and gameplay looks boring.

I can see the clear MegaMan and Shovel Knight influences, but the other influence I'm seeing is a little known Famicom game called Kyattou Ninden Teyandee (Samurai Pizza Cats in the west). KNT was a game made using the Ninja Gaiden engine, but it was more for kids and features 4 playable characters you could switch between in each stage. Many of the ninja mechanics I'm seeing in this review seem somewhat influences by KNT. This game seems like a fun combination of several different games I've played over the years, I'll have to check it out! Thanks for the great review!

The developer has clarified why the leaderboard on Switch uses QR for anybody curious for the same reason I was! "Satryn deluxe on steam has an in-game leaderboard, but i'm told that nintendo is pretty strict about who can access their API, thus @RAWRLABGames' clever solution to use the QR leaderboard."

I was never good at Robotron 2084 but I did enjoy the arcade a lot growing up, when I got the chance to play it. Hearing this being harder isn't what I would wish for but still gonna get this and see how long I can last. Would love to play this on a proper arcade cabinet.

Just a hint, when you use the rage, you can actually use all the other powers with increased strength, and also if you do it again before the bar is off you kill all enemies on the screen. Besides that I agree a lot with the review ;)
